Marvin Mathelier, a Marine Corps Major, small business owner, and proud father of three, has dedicated his life to service and community. He led humanitarian missions across Latin America and the Caribbean, advanced Haitian culture as Chair of the Toussaint Louverture Cultural Center, and co-owns Ula Café, a hub for connection and support in Jamaica Plain. A neighborhood leader and founder of the grassroots group Call It Out, Marvin has championed affordable housing, equity, and justice in Boston. With degrees from Norwich, Loyola, and Columbia, and published policy work on U.S.-Haiti relations and gender equity, he blends academic expertise with hands-on leadership to build a stronger, more inclusive city.
